Olive & June 2021 Cupcakes & Cashmere Review and Comparisons

Olive & June does it again with 6 sweet, new shades designed by Emily Schuman of Cupcakes & Cashmere. These shades are inspired by her favorite places in Cali and they make me want to book my plane ticket ASAP. I've decided to compare these shades to one Olive & June counterpart and two, non-brand, duplicate shade. All photos are shown using 2 coats of polish under my ring light in neutral setting. Enjoy!

Stinson Sunset

Stinson Sunset is described as a "pinky-peach coral." Perfect description, perfect polish. Olive & June doesn't have a shade like this in its' entire collection, so this is a 'must-have."

Rose Valley

Rose Valley is described as a "muted cotton candy" and it's gorgeous! But... as you can see, it is very similar to Pink Sands. However, it leans a little warmer than Pink Sands, so it looks better with my skin tone.

Point Dume

Point Dume is described as a "neutral sand" and that's exactly what it is. An exceptional formula with a high-shine finish. For me, the limit does not exit when it comes to beigey shades like this... I want them all!

Larchmont

Larchmont is described as a "blazing red," but I call it "hot tamale red." It's perfection and stands out amongst the other reds in Olive & June's line up of polishes. It's another unique one.

ES

ES is described as a "classic crimson red" and was inspired by Emily Schuman herself. Compared to CV, it's berry-er and less red. Dare I say, slightly coral-y? If I had to choose, I'd choose Larchmont over ES. Sorry, Emily.

Fig Ranch

Fig Ranch is described as a "figgy pink." Usually, these rose shades aren't for me, but I loved Fig Ranch. It's a perfect shade to take you from summer to fall. Unlike other rose-toned shades, this paired well with my skin tone, too.

A big thank you to Olive & June for sending me this sweet, sweet collection. I don't know about you, but I will never get sick of pink or red polish.
